Allen plays a former super hero named “Zoom.” He used to be very fast. ZOOM is a clean wholesome kids show that features Tim Allen’s signature style of comedy in a story that is less that original. The filmmakers were clearly out to make something children can enjoy and parents can feel good about taking their children to see. The filmmakers even avoided the use of nightmare inducing villains. To the movie’s credit it contains no bad language or sex, and the violence is mild slapstick. If you’re less than 13 years old, however, you might find the movie enjoyable.
The middle of the movie slows to a crawl and the conclusion is so predictable they could have filmed it without a script. This led to his loss of powers, and to his brother using his powers for evil.
